What is a mailing list?
A mailing list is a group of people, all sharing a common interest, that communicate with one another through email. If you would like to exchange messages with people who share similar interests, you simply subscribe to the mailing list. This will add your email address to the list of subscribers. From that point forward, any and all messages sent to the list will be distributed to you, and any message you post to the list will be distributed to thousands of subscribers.

Does it cost anything?
No, it is absolutely free.

Why would I want to subscribe?
Most of the members of Amber-Allen Publishing's Author-Talk mailing list are fans of one or more authors or works published by Amber-Allen Publishing. If you have a specific question, there will likely be someone on the mailing list who can answer it for you or point you in the right direction for finding a suitable answer. On occasion, some of our authors and staff will participate in discussions, and announcements will be made about upcoming events and special offers made available only to subscribers. Aside from these benefits, as time passes, you will feel that you have become a part of a growing community of people with an interest in personal growth, spirituality, health, inspirational, and similar topics that assist us in reaching our fullest potential.

What if I don’t want to participate in a discussion, but just want to read the messages?
You don't have to participate in a discussion in order to read messages. This is actually recommended so that you can see how the list works, and what type of discussions are taking place. Once you feel comfortable, feel free to join in on a discussion.

I subscribed, and my email in-box is overwhelmingly full. What do I do?
This is a common situation. You will need to set up a Mailing List Manager or Rule in your email program. It is a simple thing to do that will automatically move the messages to a special folder just for the mailing list. We have created instructions to aid you in setting up a Mailing List Rule in Outlook for the Macintosh. Are there any rules?
Just a couple. No advertising of any sort is allowed, and derogatory statements toward others are not acceptable. Feel free to voice your opinion about any of our author’s works that you dislike or don’t agree with, but please refrain from using profanity or unkind words. To read
